Free CRM for electricians

Photograph the board. The app fills in the form. Then the report, the remedial quote and the bill all hang off the same customer.

Written by a working electrician in Dorset, on his own jobs, before anybody else sees it.

No card. No trial clock. Free for every business until 500 are active on it. After that it is £49 a month for one person, and no account pays anything without 90 days written notice first. Your first 12 months are free whatever happens.

The certificates are the part nobody else brings

Search for a free electrician CRM and you find contact books. A contact book does not know what an EICR is. This one does, because it was built around the paperwork first and the customer list grew out of it.

EICR, EIC and Minor Works are all in here, on the same phone, filled in at the board and finished before you drive off. One app, not one for condition reports and another for everything else.

How a job runs through it

  1. Take the photo. Open the board, photograph it, and the app reads the ways and proposes the circuit list for you to correct.
  2. Test and code as you go. Readings go in on the phone, in your hand, at the board. Nothing gets copied up later at the kitchen table.
  3. Price the remedials before you leave. What you coded becomes a priced quote while you are still on site and the customer still cares.
  4. Send the report. The customer gets the document, and your copy stays on their record for the next time anybody asks.
  5. Ask for the review. The finished job chases the review by itself, straight to your Google listing.

What the customer record holds

  • Every document you ever issued them, by address, with the date.
  • When the next inspection is due, counted from the report you wrote.
  • Photos of the board and the work, kept with the job rather than lost in a camera roll.
  • The money, so you can see what that address has been worth to you.
  • Their jobs with your other trades, if you do more than electrical work.

That due date matters more than it looks. A landlord with twelve flats is twelve jobs waiting a few years out, and the electrician who still has the addresses written down is the one who goes back for them.

The certificate is the way in, not the whole of it

The same app quotes the job, bills it, chases the review and keeps your website. An electrician who only wants the certificates can ignore all of that and lose nothing.

What it will never do

It will not claim a qualification for you. It will not say who may sign off what. It writes down what you found and what you did, in the shape the industry expects, and the judgement on the work stays yours. That is deliberate.

Your records stay yours

Every certificate you issue is a document on the customer's record, and the customer already holds their own copy. These are legal papers about somebody's house, so you can take the lot out whenever you want it. No inspection history is ever held back over a monthly bill.
